Westlife
has been banned by the NME Carling Awards, after having been labelled "a joke".
The reason? Organizers say that the group is a threat to its credibility.
Security staff have been ordered to get rid of Westlife if they are caught
trying to get in. A spokesperson for NME told the Daily Star: "The organizers
want the bash to have credibility - and they don't believe that will happen if
Westlife are allowed in. - 29th January 2001
