FOOTIE-mad Nicky Byrne of Westlife came a cropper on Friday. Having a kick about
with the band, the 22-year-old - once trainee goalkeeper at Leeds United -
slipped on a patch of oil and fell badly on his hand. Like a trouper he did the
Glasgow show regardless but, in agony the next day, he went for an X-ray and
doctors discovered he had cracked a bone in his left wrist. Nicky joked: "I'm
still available for the Irish squad. I'll be fit in time."
