Shane 2003: "We're more bothered about a good album. Obviously getting a number one is a big bonus, but it's not something you can rely on."

An environmentally friendly Westlife 10/02
Westlife intend to offset 33,000 euro worth of CD sales to tree planting in Ireland in conjunction with the Future Forests initiative. Shane told the press, "Future Forests is a great idea and we have known about it for ages. Obviously we would have to have our forest planted in Ireland." The Future Forest concept aims to counteract the carbon emissions produced by mass CD production by planting trees.
