GEORGINA AND NICKY BYRNE
Westlife star Nicky Byrne and his wife Georgina have announced the birth of their twin sons.  According to a statement released on behalf of the couple, the boys, who will be named Rocco and Jay, were born at 9.55am on Friday 20th April 2007. The statement said: "Nicky and Georgina Byrne welcomed with great joy the safe arrival of their twin sons Rocco and Jay born at 9.55am this morning in the National Maternity Hospital Holles Street, Dublin 2. The couple would like to thank Professor Mc Auliffe and all the wonderful staff at NMH Holles Street."

Westlife are taking an extra bus with them on their world tour - to use as a travelling creche. Family commitments mean one vehicle won't be enough for the four Irish hunks when they set off in February. Band member SHANE FILAN, whose daughter Nicole is two, said: "We've got so many children between us now that we need somewhere for them to go." Other youngsters include Nicky Byrnes's seven-month-old twins Rocco and Jay.

Bertie beamed when he was asked questions about his grandsons Rocco and Jay. His daughter Georgina is married to Westlife's Nicky Byrne of course. He revealed that he has bought the twins a Dublin and Ireland kit for Christmas presents, but plans to go shopping very soon to spoil them even more. He also admitted to being a dedicated Westlife fan.

Nicky: Like Shane, Nicky's planning a large family with his wife Georgina. 'I'd like to have five kids. I only have one brother and one sister, but a lot of my friends have large families To be honest I still feel we are a bit young. Ok Westlife have lived like no one else that we know, but when we go home to our friends they're just getting mortgages - they're not even engaged yet. You can have a baby, but I think you need to be sure its right -  100% right. If it happened tomorrow Georgina and I would be delighted but if we were to plan it we'd probably wait a year or two.
Georgina: “Having a stable family home with children is really important to us. We both can’t wait to have children – Nicky wants five but I’d be happy with three! Nicky will make a brilliant dad. I know, he loves kids. But we’re not planning anything just yet. There are still plenty of things we want to do, but when the day eventually comes, we’ll both be over the moon with excitement. I’d like to concentrate on my career for the next while. But having said that, if I had a child tomorrow, we’d be delighted, because it’s the plan some day. I’d like to be a young mum, too.”

Nicky: "I can’t imagine what it will be like having an 18-year-old daughter! I’d be beside myself with worry every time she went out to a nightclub - I’d be waiting up all night!"
