Westlife star hits back at Hospice criticism
Newly-weds Shane and Gillian Filan were today embroiled in a row with a hospice over wedding donations. The Westlife star and his new bride have expressed surprise and shock that Sligo's North-West Hospice has gone public with details of cash donations to the charity from their wedding guests.
The couple yesterday accused the hospice of prompting disparaging descriptions of their guests, family, and friends. The couple's Christmas wedding at Ashford Castle was plunged into the spotlight by North-West Hospice administrator Eugene McGloin, who expressed his huge disappointment that less than 10,000 euros was received from the estimated 380 wedding guests.
The Sligo-based hospice, which was nominated as the couple's chosen charity in lieu of wedding gifts, had been expecting to receive between 25,000 and 50,000 euros from the high profile event, he said. Yesterday, the shocked couple hit back, saying their guests had been under no obligation to make a donation.
"We gave no guarantee to the North-West Hospice as to any minimum amount that they could expect," the couple said. "Whatever their stated reason for seeking this publicity, their actions have embarrassed a lot of people. This may serve their purpose of generating further donations but we find the actions of the North-West Hospice far from charitable," they said.
However, Mr McGloin claimed that he had spoken in response to media queries and insisted that details of all donations were routinely published in the hospice newsletter. The perception had been widespread that the North-West Hospice had been rolling in money after the event, he said, but this was not the case.

We are very disappointed by the coverage in a number of papers regarding the charitable donations generated by our wedding, which was very deliberately a private celebration for close family and friends.
We did not request that our guests make a donation to the NWH instead of presents, but our guests were under absolutely no obligation to do so.
However, we know for a fact that donations were made via normal channels, which would not appear to have been generated by our wedding.
Many preferred to give gifts while others made donations to their own charities on our behalf.
We gave no guarantee to the NWH as to any minimum amount they could expect, and are shocked and surprised that they would decide to go public with the amounts received, and even give indications as to who donated.
We deliberately chose a local charity, which is supported in a variety of ways by the very same local community that made up 95% of our guest list.
We had always understood that charity is a private and personal matter, but apparently that is not the case. Our guests, family and friends have been described in very disparaging terms, prompted by the actions of the NWH.
Whatever their reason for seeking this publicity, their actions have embarrassed allot of people. This may serve their purpose of generating further donations, but we found the actions of the NWH far from charitable"-

Westlife blasts gay rumours
Westlife hunks Shane Filan and Nicky Byrne may be happily married men - but it doesn't stop some fans accusing them of being homosexual. Filan, 24, wed Byrne's cousin Gillian Walsh in a romantic County Mayo, Ireland ceremony last December, five months after 25-year-old Byrne tied the knot with Irish premier Bertie Ahern's daughter Georgina in France.
The married singers regularly go out clubbing as a duo without their wives or bandmates Mark Feehily, Kian Egan or Bryan McFadden. Filan explains,
"Me and Nicky have a 'ShNicky' do where we'll go out all night.
"I think the fans thought we were having an affair. There's pictures they've made on the internet where it looks like we're snogging (kissing). What sort of sick person would do that to us?"

Westlife's Bryan McFadden and Mark Feehily made two fans very happy by giving them two tickets for the NERD aftershow party.Speaking at the Belvedere until the small hours, Mark said: 'Bryan and were planning on catching Justin Timberlake and the Black Eyed Peas at the NERD gig but we ran out of time. Instead we handed our two tickets to surprised fans who were waiting outside the venue.
'They couldn't believe it when our limo pulled up and we wound down the blacked out windows to hand them the briefs.'
Bryan, who chatted away with wife Kerry at the party, also showed off some robotic dance moves at the party. He was one of the last to leave.

Never let it be said that once you've made your millions in the pop game you have to find ever more expensive toys to splash out on to stop you getting bored. Actually, that's exactly what happens, so it's no surprise to discover that Westlife have ploughed some of their enormous wad into a € ¦£4 million private jet.
The flying balladeers have split the costs between them, and had their Gulfstream III plane kitted out with an array of boys toys. These include your standard DVD player, plasma screens and games consoles, as well as a miniature recording studio for those moments when a chart-topping No.1 occurs to Shane as they scoot over Germany.
Best of all, you'll be able to spot the plane as it shoots overhead because the lads have also paid to have their logo painted on the outside. And when they're not using it to pop across to Belgium for the afternoon, the lads intend to rent it out to help pay for the upkeep.
So, anyone fancy popping to the shops...in Brazil? Call Kian for details...

WESTLIFE'S NICKY IS BITTEN BY FASHION BUG .
''Westlife's Nicky Byrne has been bitten by the fashion bug.
The pop star sat at the front row of the Julien Macdonald show last week with wife Georgina, and afterwards several agencies approached them to do modelling work. But Nicky wants to take things further.
A pal of the singer, whose band's single Obvious was released yesterday, tells us: "He'd like to invest in an existing label or start his own."
Maybe he can even get the lads out of those colour co-ordinated suits they love to wear.''

Kian Egan ,may be a member of one of the UK"s biggest boy band - but he still gets caught short occasionally. During a night out at Liverpool's Pan American club on Thursday the Westlife singer 23, found himself financially embarrassed and unable to get the drinks in. Luckily, Kian's pals didn't go thirsty for long as the cash machine was just outside.
According to an onlooker:" He must have taken out a wodge judging by the amount of booze his group got through that night. At least he"s not a round dodger...

Westlife spend £4m on private jet
Westlife have paid £4million for their own private jet. Each of the boy band members are said to be chipping in with £800,000 for the Gulfstream III jet. According to The Sun, the plane will have state-of-the-art seats with built-in plasma screens, DVD player and game consoles PlayStation 2 and Xbox. There will also be a small but well-equipped music studio built at the back of the jet. The outside of the plane will be repainted with the Westlife logo. It will have a range of 3,500 miles and a top speed of 529mph.
It's reported the plane will be based at Dublin airport, with the band members and their partners getting equal access. When not in use, the jet will be rented out to recoup some of the cost.

Obvious Out Now!
Westlife today release their new single Obvious. It's taken from their #1 album Turnaround, and has an instantly memorable chorus - a simple love song, beautifully performed by Westlife doing what they do best. Which, we'd like to think, is a lot better than anything Peter Andre can do!
It's be available on 2 CDs - CD1 features an exclusive Flying Without Wings/ My Love and Mandy medley, and CD2 features a brand new track (I'm Missing Loving You), To Be With You (live) and the Obvious video and 'Making Of'.
You can check out the video via the stream links below, and also view it on The Box via selection #285.

Westlife to split?
Well, yes, eventually - but not yet. Shane has been saying the boys know Westlife will come to an end one day but they're just not sure when that will be.
"It could be next week," he explains. "It could be in five years. It will be when we are all happy that we want to split."
He also said they were all still really ambitious and had a rough idea of what they wanted to do afterwards. Shane wants to keep singing and have a solo career while Bryan quite likes the idea of a solo deal as well. Nicky wants to have a bash at acting, Kian wants to become a manager and Mark fancies his chances as a record producer.
So no need to get the hankies out yet, but maybe keep them somewhere close at hand, eh?

Club's boy band coup
Europe's biggest boy band Westlife are to play a Newcastle gay club next week. The Irish lads will appear at Powerhouse on February 27, two months before performing for three nights at the city's Arena. It marks the group's first-ever club date in Toon and a huge coup for Trafalgar Leisure, which owns the venue.
The one-off gig, strictly for over-18s only and before an expected 1,500-capacity crowd, follows a similar appearance at Powerhouse last month by Girls Aloud. Both bands are run by the same management and the success of January's event has resulted in Westlife asking to play the club, in Times Square. They've only ever played one other gay venue in BWithout Knickersin, London's famed G-A-Y, and are more used to playing arenas seating upwards of 10,000 people.
In April, more than 30,000 fans will catch them at the Arena but next Friday a lucky 1,500 will catch the band playing up close and personal to them on a four-foot-high stage. And there's every likelihood the lads will hang around after their 40-minute set.
"They like to chill out afterwards with a few beers," said an insider.
Westlife's new single, Obvious, is out on Monday and could give them their 13th chart-topper.They hold the record for most shows at the Arena, Newcastle.
"To secure an act as big as Westlife, who have had 12 number ones, is a major coup not just for Powerhouse but also for Newcastle and the North East," said Chris Gilroy, of Trafalgar Leisure.
Tickets for Westlife at Powerhouse on February 27 are £20. They are available from the Twist, Baron & Baroness and Zinc bars in Times Square, or via the credit card hotline on (0191) 261 7676.

Crash victim stirs at mention of Westlife
A WESTLIFE fan fighting for life after a car crash which killed her dadshowed she could hear her family by stirring when they mentioned the band. Stacy Lyle, 12, was rushed to hospital with serious head injuries after her father Stephen's car ploughed into a tree.
Stephen, 37, died from his injuries at Crosshouse Hospital in Ayrshireshortly after the accident on Sunday afternoon.
Last night, Stacy was unconscious in the intensive therapy unit of Glasgow's Southern General Hospital. Stacy's mother and Stephen's partner of 15years, Margaret, was too upset to speak of her loss. However, Margaret's sister, Catherine, described Stacy as a fun-loving girl who is a huge fan of boy bands Westlife and Blue. Catherine said: 'Stacy is typical of a girl coming into her teens. 'She's really into music and likes computers and going shopping with friends
'It would make Stacy's day if she could see Westlife and we were talking about the band by her bedside. 'Stacy stirred on Sunday night when we mentioned them. 'It was encouraging to see her respond because it showed she was able to understand what we were saying.' Catherine also paid tribute to dad-of-two Stephen and described him as a loveable rogue'. Catherine said: 'He was a big Rangers fan, he was football daft and went to a lot of games. 'His work has season tickets for Rangers and Celtic and Stephen was able to use them a lot. 'It's just hard to take in what has happened.' Stephen and Stacy were on their way home from a grocery shop at Tesco in Irvine when the accident took place. Stephen's Vauxhall Astra left the road and careered into a tree just 400 yards from the family home in Drybridge, Ayrshire. Margaret, 35, went to the scene with her sister Catherine after hearing the sirens of the emergency vehicles. The family spent yesterday at Stacy's bedside praying that she pulls through
Last night, Stacy was still in the Southern General's IT Unit but wasbreathing on her own. Hospital staff described her condition as 'serious but stable'. The schoolgirl, who attends Greenwood Academy in Irvine, also has a brother, Stephen, six.
Her father worked as a contract manager with a construction firm in Troon, Ayrshire. Police said no other vehicles were involved in the tragedy.

POP GOES JODI; Soap babe set to duet with Westlife.
Byline: JOE OLIVER
THE teenage stunner who claims to have tamed Westlife bad-boy Kian Egan could be about to join the band's latest assault on the charts.
For it's understood that 19-year-old soap babe Jodi Albert, who plays saucy Debbie Dean in Channel 4's Hollyoaks, will be adding a touch of glamour to the all-boy Irish crooners. Jodi herself said: "They've sung with Mariah Carey, so why not me?" Adding Jodi to the band, even for a one-off video, could pay off.
Jodi and Kian have been dating for almost six months. She has hinted she would love to settle down with the 23-year-old pop hunk who is trying to put his partying days behind him. And Kian said: "Since I met Jodi I've become a different person. I don't go out to parties that much any more and it's just nice to do normal things."
But if she does perform with Westlife, or even on a single with Kian, it wouldn't be Jodi's first bid for pop fame. She had a top ten chart hit with Last One Standing three years ago when she was in the band Girl Thing.

Kerry fury at Jamie builder slurs over Westlife
Brits stars were on their best behaviour on stage at London's Earls Court, but there was sniping behind the scenes.
Kerry McFadden warned UK jazz sensation Jamie Cullum to stay away from Westlife after he said the Irish boyband were arrogant and looked like builders. Kerry, wife of band member Bryan, said: 'Jamie's only been around five minutes, but he won't go far if he starts off slagging people he may have to work with in future. I wouldn't like to be there when Bryan and the rest of Westlife see him.'
Kerry, Bryan and Jamie were all at the Brit Awards where triple-winners The Darkness stuck the boot in to main awards rivals Radiohead, calling them boring. Darkness guitarist Dan Hawkins said Radiohead couldn't hold up to the stage antics of his brother, Justin, adding: 'Most of these modern bands are so unbearably serious they leave me cold. Radiohead are totally boring.' He also laid into Coldplay, Turin Brakes and Starsailor who 'put together their selection from the Radiohead menu'.
Organisers prevented a repeat of previous Brits bust-ups spilling on to the nation's TV screens. But a Brits insider said: 'It's not very rock 'n' roll and there are people in the awards who would like to see it spiced up.'

No Vestlife - Bry
WESTLIFE party boy Bryan McFadden was keen to show us his butch body at the BMG party. Knocking back vodka and Red Bull at the Belvedere restaurant, big Bry - who was also with band mate Mark Feehily - insisted on unbuttoning his shirt so he could impress us with his hairy chest - and weren't we just!
Meanwhile, wife Kerry only had a few drinks and left early as she was knackered.
Also at the bash was Lord Brocket, who was surrounded by young blondes and refusing to admit whether he has got engaged yet. Judging by his behaviour on Tuesday night, we'd say that's a firm no.
Avid Merrion made a hasty retreat from the BMG party when Bryan McFadden asked to sniff his neck-brace. The celeb stalker was chatting to his idols at London's Belvedere Hotel when the Westlife star sidled up to him and asked for a whiff. Luckily, a pal was on hand to carry Avid away.

Kitty spat
Atomic Kitten star Jenny Frost has launched a bitter attack on Queen of the Jungle Kerry McFadden. The claws came out after Kerry made barbed comments about the group during her stint on I'm a Celebrity.
Jenny 25, who replaced Kerry in the chart-topping trio, admits she is furious with the mum-of-two. She stormed: "She's off her head if she thinks she was hard done by in the band. I can't believe what she was saying.
"All I can think is that the lack of food in the jungle made her delirious and totally lose her grip on reality." Kerry told her celebrity pals that she was the founder member of the group.
But Jenny says: "That's rubbish. Liz McLarnon started the band with Kerry - it was never just Kerry's band." There is little love lost between Kerry and Jenny, who joined Liz and Natasha Hamilton when Kerry quit in 2000. But what really riled Jenny was the claim that she mimed Kerry's vocals on the video for their No1, Whole Again.
She was incensed when Kerry told her campmates on I'm a Celebrity: "It was my voice. She did the video." Jenny ranted: "There was no way I'd appear in a video singing over Kerry's vocals. They were my vocals in the video not hers. That's absolute c**p." Recently it was revealed the Kittens plan a year's break once their current tour ends later this year. And Jenny, who is poised to sign a solo deal, says their last night together promises to be an emotional occasion. She jokes in the latest issue of Now! magazine, out tomorrow: "Don't expect us to either sing in tune or get the words out right - because we're all going to be crying on stage."
Meanwhile 23-year-old Kerry paid a surprise visit yesterday to TV's Back to Reality contestants. She took champagne and delighted the Five housemates by announcing she had ordered them a Chinese takeaway. She confided that she has hardly seen Westlife husband Bryan since leaving the Australian rain forest. And as she was given a tour of the house she gasped: "I can't believe how nice this place is. You've got a wardrobe, I had a sack. You're dead lucky."

Warrington welcomes home Kerry
Kerry McFadden has made a triumphant return to her home town.
Only days after returning from the outback, the former Atomic Kitten singer joined family and friends at Warrington Town Hall to celebrate her success in I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! During her whistlestop visit, Kerry took time out of her hectic schedule to say a few words of thanks to the people of Warrington who supported her throughout the show.
Kerry met the Mayor of Warrington, Cllr Pauline Nelson, who said a few words to welcome Kerry home. Kerry, 23, said: "This is so overwhelming and I want to thank all of you. I'm absolutely amazed, I think I'm going to cry again." As the crowd chanted her name, she added: "We had so much fun. It was brilliant, absolutely brilliant, although I would never do it again. It feels fantastic to be Queen of the Jungle. I'm absolutely flabbergasted."
Kerry said that when she watched the show after returning from Australia she understood why she was called "the Warrington Whinger" but said she stuck at it to make her husband Bryan, 23, of the boy band Westlife, and two children proud. And she disclosed the scariest moment was meeting Johnny Rotten, before adding: "I loved Johnny Rotten - he's a diamond. We got on very well."

She could pick up £2m Max-imum By SALLY BROOK
JUNGLE queen Kerry could make £2million in 12 months after she was swamped with offers within hours of winning Celebrity. Yet showbiz guru Max Clifford yesterday admitted he advised her NOT to go on the showman, the ex-Atomic Kitten’s agent, said: “I did not think it would be the right move. I believed she would miss Bryan and the kids so much she would find it very difficult. But she has proved me wrong big time. The sky’s the limit — I am delighted.”
Kerry has already signed a £250,000 newspaper deal and more money-spinners are stacking up. Max reckons she is a dream for advertisers and programme makers — and might even turn up on a current affairs show. But he added: “She could make £2million but she is a wife and mother first and her career comes third.
“She won’t let anything get in the way of that.” The others have already emerged winners and losers:
JORDAN shamelessly plugged her autobiography in the jungle — it should boost her earnings from £700,000 to £1.5m.
LORD BROCKET has already been asked to pose naked in a women’s mag, advertise undies, do a panto and make a telly biopic. Could pocket £700,000.
JENNIE BOND has make-up and food ads on the table. Magazine columns and travel writing could also push her income to £300,000.
PETER ANDRE could trouser £250,000 as old hit Mysterious Girl is re-released along with new song Insania. Has done magazine and newspaper deals.
ALEX BEST is set to boost her £70,000 TV earnings to £170,000 with modelling work.
NEIL ‘RAZOR’ RUDDOCK can expect a £90,000 payday by advertising shaving brands and making more TV appearances.
DIANE MODAHL can expect £55,000 of new telly work.
JOHN LYDON gets £60,000-a-year from property. No offers of work in yet.
MIKE READ plans a charity single with Celeb pals. May benefit from TV exposure

QUEEN of the Jungle Kerry McFadden pulled in more viewers than PopIdol Michelle McManus.
ITV bosses yesterday revealed 15.7 million Brits watched as Kerry won I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here! a record for a reality show. Monday's final show of the jungle challenge eclipsed the 2003 Pop Idol final, when 12.9 million viewers saw Scots singer Michelle win a record deal. Nigel Pickard, ITV Director of Programmes, said: 'Once again, I'm A Celebrity got the nation talking and we are delighted so many millions were hooked.'
An average of 10.4 million viewers 42.4 per cent of the audience watched each show. While bosses celebrated their ratings triumph, Queen Kerry, 23,was looking forward to earning around € ¦£2 million after her stint in the Australian rainforest. The former Atomic Kitten star has already pocketed around € ¦£250,000 from a newspaper for her jungle story.
PR fixer Max Clifford said yesterday: 'Kerry could make, if she wished, a couple of million in the next 12 months from advertising, endorsements, TV programmes and presenting. 'If she wanted to take everything offered to her she could make a couple of million, but my instinct is she will only do things she is comfortable with.'
Glamour model Jordan is also likely to make a fortune from her exposure on the show and is already being paid a reported € ¦£500,000 to tell what really went on between her and Peter Andre. Her appearance on the show will also boost sales of her planned autobiography, details of which she hinted at during her time in the jungle.
Kerry hadn't expected to win the show after a dismal couple of days at the beginning of the two-week trial. She broke down in tears on daughter Lilly Sue's first birthday. But it was tears of joy she shed when her older daughter Molly, two, told her on the phone: 'Mummy, you're the Queen of the Jungle.' The star's mother-in-law Mairead McFadden looked after the girls at her home in Dublin while Kerry was away. Mairead revealed: 'She was so emotional. She couldn't talk to us. We were her first call when she came out. She broke down and couldn't talk to us.
'The first thing she said to me when I answered the phone was, 'Hi, I cannot believe I missed you all so much.' 'She really was absolutely heartbroken talking to us so I put Molly on the phone to her and that finished her altogether. 'Molly came on and she said, 'Mummy, Queen of the Jungle.' Kerry and husband Bryan will be reunited with their daughters when they jet into London on Thursday.
Mairead will bring the girls over from Dublin to meet up with mum and dad. She added that her son, Westlife frontman Bryan, was incredibly proud of his wife, whose stint on the show raised money for kids in care. His mum said: 'He loves that girl to bits. He knows her better than anybody else on this earth and he knows how frightened and how delicate she is when it comes to these things.
'We did sit her down and speak to her and said, 'Do you want to do this, do you really think you will be able to do this?' 'She said, 'Well, you know if I can give other kids the chance my two have.
'I'm going to try and if I fail, I fail. If I win, I win.'

Bryan was said to have threatened to kill Lydon. But Kerry said: Whatever happened, I dont want to know.
What I know is the Johnny I met in the rainforest, and thats my only memory of him. I loved him to pieces. She said she still has the luminous Sex Pistols shorts he left in the camp and joked: I²m going to flog them!

KERRY McFADDEN is not the only one celebrating - Monday night's I'm A Celebrity. . . Get Me Out of Here! final pulled in almost 16 million viewers, smashing the record for a reality TV show. And the programme's stars such as Peter Andre and Lord Brocket are set to cash in on their new-found popularity. A total of 15.7 million - a 62.2% share of the television audience - tuned in just after 10pm when the show's winner was announced, according to ITV.As the 23-year-old former Atomic Kitten singer toasted her success, ITV was celebrating its best-ever figures for I'm A Celebrity.
Average viewing figures for the night of 14.1 million (a 54.5% share) for the show beat last year's 12.7 million, and the Pop Idol record of 13.3 million. Meanwhile, Kerry was considering her future after being inundated with offers and being reunited with her husband, Westlife's Bryan McFadden. Jan Croxson at Princess Talent, which represents Kerry, said, "Lots and lots of people have been telephoning. The first thing Kerry will want to do is see her kids in Ireland.
"I'd like Kerry to continue with presenting because she's very good at it. Kerry's a really good comedian and I'd like to see her do more acting."
Jennie Bond's agent said the "telephone hadn't stopped ringing" since the former BBC royal reporter came second on the show. Agent Sue Ayton said, "Cosmetics companies have been very interested - they want to know whether it was their products she was using in the jungle and whether it stayed on. "Peter Andre plans to relaunch his pop career in Britain and flies here today.
Lord Brocket is currently considering more than € ¦£1m worth of offers, according to his agent. They range from adverts for soap - after his efforts to soap down Alex Best's bottom - to presenting TV shows on stately homes and becoming an after-dinner speaker. He has also been offered a Wife Swap-type programme in which he spends a fortnight living in the Bronx.
Publishers are vying for his autobiography, which will include his time in prison and in the jungle. The aristocrat is currently in Australia putting the finishing touches to a charity single, Jungle Rock, which he is recording with Mike Read, Razor Ruddock and Peter Andre.

It is no small irony that this episode begins with the discovery of a pair of crossed slippers, which, according to Ummi (Meera Syal), is an omen that the show is doomed. Doomed? Probably not. Jumped the shark? Most surely.
British TV dingbat Denise Van Outen, actor Neil Pearson and pop group Westlife are the guests. (As if having a boyband wasn't bad enough, this is the second time they've appeared on the show. Ouch.) Pearson is always interesting (his work on Drop the Dead Donkey was first class) but Van Outen is about as fascinating as an empty beer can and Westlife we could well do without.
A show like The Kumars, despite the genuinely fun Indian schtick, will ultimately succeed or fail on the strength of its guests. The prognosis is not good.

Westlife To Make A Turnaround Bid
WESTLIFE have abandoned their plans to crack America after they were dropped by their US label. The hunky Irish five-piece decided they are not going to follow in the ill-fated footsteps of Robbie Williams and Oasis by trying and trying again. Instead, they have vowed to concentrate on keeping their huge fan- base happy.
Shane, Mark, Kian, Nicky and Bryan - who shot to fame five years ago with their debut hit, Swear It All Over Again - will waste no more time on the US, but will focus their attentions on a global tour which will take them as far as China, Dubai and South Africa.
Newleywed Shane Filan said: "we were so close to doing it, but then the record label who had signed us teamed up with another couple of companies.
"We were bottom of their priority as they had so many other American bands to sort out and they didn't have much money left over.
"They told us to come back, but pop music isn't working in general over there at the moment. Hip hop and R&B is a massive market in America. People like Sean Paul and 50 Cent are selling all the records over there - so I don't think we would go down particularly well.
"All of us know it's not the be all and end all. We have done really, really well in the UK and the Far East - we have sold so many records in Asia and South Africa.
"All the boys agree there is just no point in risking it over there. We have made lots of money by attracting fans everywhere else." And the heart-throb singer, who married his sweetheart Gillian Walsh in December, again put paid to rumours the band are to split.
"None of us have any plans to leave - we're doing really well and loving what we're doing," he said.
"Maybe in the future there may be a chance we'll have solo careers, but I have always said you can't go back to being in a group once you have left.
"We have all thought about what we are going to do when we do decide to call it a day. We would be mad not to. We all want to do different things, so hopefully there won't be too much competition between us."
14th Feb
According to Wen Hui Daily (China), Westlife will kickoff a concert in Shang Hai in the coming December (not in June that was reported before). However, the further information needs to be confirmed.

Queen of the Jungle Kerry McFadden flew home today and declared: "It's fantastic to be back." She was among the first of the stars of I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here! to return from their jungle adventure after a 24-hour flight from Australia. Having tackled a host of unsavoury Bushtucker Trials for the hit ITV show, they are now expected to chew over more tempting offers for TV and advertising deals which could be worth millions of pounds. But Kerry's first priority was her family.
"I can't wait to see my children, it's fantastic, really, really good," she told reporters at Heathrow airport.
She was accompanied by husband Bryan, who said he was "very proud". Asked whether he was planning to follow in his wife's footsteps and head to the jungle, the Westlife star declined to comment. But Kerry, also 23, was more forthright, saying: "Oh that would be fun, wouldn't it."
She also brushed aside suggestions that she and Bryan had been trying for a jungle baby - a little brother for their two daughters Molly, two, and one-year-old Lilly-Sue. She joked: "I don't know where that came from." With Bryan, 23, behind pushing a heavily laden luggage trolley, Kerry was ushered through the arrivals hall and out into a large dark-coloured people carrier, waving to cameras, saying: "Hi everyone. Thank you so much for voting for me. I really appreciate it."

Kerry tries for jungle babe
I'm a Celebrity winner Kerry McFadden wants to try for a jungle baby boy.
Her triumph in the jungle leaves her tipped to make £2 million in TV and advertising deals in the next year while the other contestants are also expected to cash in on the exposure. But Kerry, 23, who has two daughters with pop star husband Bryan, has told the Daily Express and Daily Star how her greatest hope for the future is to have another baby. She said: "We are trying for another baby now. Who knows just when our wish will come true? But it would be beyond all our dreams, oh my God, above anything, if it happens now. Here, our own jungle baby."
In an interview with Daily Express, she also described her torment at being apart from her husband and children vowing she would not repeat the jungle experience despite losing a stone and dropping two dress sizes. She said: "Those first two days were awful. I really felt I was going to have a second nervous breakdown.
"I really did think I would have to walk but I'm so glad I didn't now. The Bushtucker Trial where I ate the bugs was the turning point for me. Once I'd done that, I was so proud of myself."
Westlife singer Bryan told the Mirror he too feared his wife would have a breakdown. But, he added: "She's a real trouper and came good in the end. She's my hero." On the fortune to be made from possible TV deals, he said: "Kerry isn't the kind of girl who gets motivated by money. We are well off already and don't ever have to work another day if we don't want to."

A total of 15.7 million - a 62.2% share of the audience - tuned in just after 10pm when the show’s winner was announced.
As the 23-year-old former Atomic Kitten singer toasted her success, ITV was celebrating its best-ever figures for I’m A Celebrity. Average viewing figures for the night of 14.1 million (a 54.5% share) for the show beat last year’s 12.7 million, and the Pop Idol record of 13.3 million. The series saw audience figures of 10.4 million (42.4%) on average, beating last year's 9.4 million. Overall ITV1 had a 48.4% peak time audience share last night, a record since the Royal Variety Performance in November 2001.

Kerry is Queen of the TV Jungle
Kerry McFadden has been crowned Queen of the Jungle after winning the ITV show I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here! The 23-year-old former Atomic Kitten star burst into tears and hugged her fellow celebrities after clinching the public vote, ahead of former BBC royal reporter Jennie Bond. Singer Peter Andre had earlier become the first of the three finalists to be booted off the hit show, which has gripped millions. Kerry, who had been favourite to win the final, repeated "oh my God" over and over, after the show's hosts Ant and Dec announced she had polled the majority of the three million votes cast.
More people had voted in this year's final than during the finals of the previous two series, which were won by Tony Blackburn and Phil Tufnell, they said. As she left the jungle camp, she said she never thought she would win the show "in a million years". She said: "I am absolutely numb. I cannot feel my legs. It feels really surreal."
Kerry was crowned Queen of the Jungle by former I'm A Celebrity contestant Tara Palmer-Tomkinson. Kerry was then told that her husband Bryan, the Westlife singer, could not make it to the Australian camp because of work commitments. However, as she began speaking to him on the phone, Bryan walked on to the set and she screamed: "Oh my God" and burst into tears.

Kerry: Life in Care to Showbiz Star
Kerry McFadden was an early favourite to be voted off I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! after sobbing her way through her first few days in the jungle. The former Atomic Kitten was on the verge of quitting the jungle camp more than once. She found the conditions hard and was pining for husband Bryan and her daughters Molly, three, and Lily Sue, who was one last week. But she stuck it out and is now odds-on favourite to be crowned Queen of the Jungle. Kerry, 23, overcame an unhappy childhood to become a member of the top-selling girl band and marry Westlife star Bryan.
Her mother was in an abusive relationship and fled to women's refuges with Kerry on more than one occasion. Kerry was taken into care at 13, lived with four sets of foster parents and went to eight different schools." It was a hard childhood but that made me even more determined to succeed," she once said.
Her fortunes changed when she joined Atomic Kitten in 1999 alongside Natasha Hamilton and Liz McLarnon. They had five hits, including the number one smash Whole Again, but Kerry quit at the height of their success after meeting Bryan. She fell pregnant with daughter Molly and the couple got engaged soon after.
In January 2002 they had a fairytale wedding at Slane Castle in Ireland. But their relationship hit trouble after tabloid revelations about Bryan's alleged encounter with a lapdancer on his stag night. Kerry forgave him and the couple's second daughter was born last year. Since leaving Atomic Kitten, she has worked as a TV presenter.

Sozzled Kerry McFadden threw up Down Under — after downing beer, bubbly and wine. Merry Kerry, 23, had to be helped to bed by Jennie Bond and Lord Brocket after her binge. But within minutes she was rushing to the loo — helped on her way by caring Jennie, 53. Kerry moaned: "Oh no, I'm really drunk, Jennie. Champagne and beer don't go." She eventually managed to get into bed, but soon dashed back to the loo to be sick.
Kerry felt even worse after stumbling into the Bush Telegraph — where she spotted a creepy-crawlie. She yelled: "Oh my God! I'm not coming into there until you get rid of that f***ing thing. Get rid or I'm not coming in." Lord Brocket, 52, came to her rescue, shooing the bug away.

WESTLIFE singer BRYAN McFADDEN is frantically searching for his wedding ring after losing it surfing in Queensland, Australia. The portly star has travelled to Australia to support his wife Kerry when she finishes her stint on British reality show `I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!' but he's desperate to locate his marital band before that. The Irish star is to search the beach with a metal detector and has offered a A$12,000 reward for the safe return of the ring. He says, "I went back to the hotel and went to bed for an hour, and when I woke up I looked up at my hand and thought, 'Where's the ring?'" McFadden was able to deduce the ring was lost in the water - thanks to pictures of him wearing the band whilst in the sea. He adds, "The security over here have rented a metal detector. Kerry McFadden, Peter Andre and Jennie Bond are hoping to be crowned King or Queen of the Jungle following the eviction of Lord Brocket in I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here. McFadden is the favourite as the show enters its final day.
The winner could earn a host of lucrative media deals in the wake of the increased exposure created by the show. Last night, Lord Brocket became the seventh celebrity to be evicted.
He told presenters Ant and Dec: "I never wanted to win it. I thought I was on borrowed time."Asked about his tiff with Jennie Bond, Brocket replied: "We (him and other stars) had a conflab on Pete's bed and all of us thought she was slightly driving us mad. Things would run smoother (without Bond)...We all sort of agreed she was the odd one out." The Lord earned a rebuke from the presenters when he put a goldfish in his champagne glass. He returned it to its bowl and it appeared to be okay.
Earlier, Andre accused Jordan of being "full of shit" after realising the busty model never wanted him. Jordan had already told her fellow stars that she thought Andre's flirtatious behaviour was purely to boost his popularity with the public. But it appears that Andre was actually smitten all along. For her part, Jordan has now claimed that she has "unfinished business" with the singer and said she plans to talk with him when the show finishes.
Kerry is 1/3 favourite with Ladbrokes. Andre is second favourite at 3/1, with Bond at 6/1. The final show is on ITV1 tonight from 9pm to 10.30pm.

Kerry's Kiss of Life - Jord's sexy fumble keeps pal in the jungle
Jordan yesterday gave Kerry Mcfadden the 'Kiss of life' to stop her quitting I'm a celebrity... The 34ff model TWICE gave her pal a smacker on the lips. Kerry had threatened to walk out of camp because she misses her family so much. But after their sexy snogs - which saw the pair boob to boob - she dramatically perked up to party with the rest of the camp.
The snog came after Kerry begged for hugs after another emotional night that saw her in floods of tears. Earlier in the day she said that the pain of missing her family was 'Killing her' After nearly breaking down, the 23 year old who before last night's eviction was the favourite to win and be crowned Queen of the Jungle, told the other contestants: 'I'm not team leader but I demand a hug now!" Jordan - real name Katie Price - decided a little girl-on-girl would be just what the doctor ordered. But she told Kerry she'd only cuddle her on one condition: "That I get a kiss on the lips." Gym lover Peter Andre and flirt Lord Brocket - nicknamed Mr Tickle because of his wondering hands - sat open mouthed drooling as the jungle babes locked lips.
When they eventually came up for air, Jordan and Kerry started giggling like two naughty schoolgirls. Later they puckered up AGAIN as they sat on a log and Kerry said: "I love you Kate - Peter's getting turned on!" The snogs were the perfect pick-me-up for Kerry who admitted to fancying Jordan in the first week of the show. The raunchy antics were enough to lighten the mood of the contestants - particularly Kerry, who looked like becoming the second celebrity to quit.
Earlier in the day, the former Atomic Kitten star and wife of Westlife's Bryan Mcfadden burst in to tears when she learned that she'd have to endure another night in the jungle away from Bryan and her two children - Molly, 3 and one year old Lilly. She spent 30 tearful minutes in the bush telegraph room pouring her heart out. Crying Kerry even begged in vain to be allowed a short phone call to hubby Bryan to help her.
When she did return to camp she announced to the remaining contestants that she had had enough and begged producers to allow her to go home. She said: "I told them I want to leave. I said 'Fix the votes I told them to go and get me Bryan now. I need to speak to him. I would eat no food for 3 days if you give me a phone call to Bryan now. This is killing me. I ache. Bryan is my knight in shining armour and I love him. I've lost the plot here. I just need real people. I'm going to sit here and talk to myself all day."
Distraught Kerry even showed signs of loosing the plot in the same way as John Lydon, by starting to talk to the cameras.
"I can see what you're all doing at home. Watching TV and making cups of tea. I need to go to a mental institution. I think I've cracked up. I can't sleep.I've got too much energy. I just want to talk. What am I going to do when I see Bryan? I'm just going to burst in to tears." And Kerry has a surprise in store that should make her happy. For Bryan has secretly flown to Australia to surprise his wife when she comes out. The chart topping Westlife star is holed up at the luxury Palazzo Versache waiting for her.
And while Jordan was helping Kerry in camp - Bryan was helping the glamour model. Back at the hotel he is helping Jordan's mum Amy to babysit her son Harvey, and has been spotted taking Harvey out for a walk in his pushchair. Last night in camp, down-to-earth Kerry wrote a letter to Bryan for when she leaves. The letter includes the lines: "I never knew I could miss anyone this much. It hurts like hell. You're my life and always will be. With my heart and my soul, Kerry.

Westlife's Kian Egan has dealt a blow to long term girlfriend Jodi Albert - by telling her he will never marry her. The Irish heart throb, who has been dating the Hollyoaks star for six months has revealed he doesn't think she is 'The One' Apart from Mark Feehily, Kian is one of the only two Westlife hunks yet to tie the knot - but even that isn't forcing him to make an honest woman of Jodi, 20. The 23 year old said: "I always thought I would know if I wanted to marry them as soon as I met them and I just didn't feel that with Jodi."
"We are really happy together but it doesn't look like I'll be joining the others in wedded bliss." But it is unlikely Jodi will be broken. Two weeks ago we revealed how the sexy actress wasn't ready to marry. She said: "I don't want to become a pop star's wife."

The angry punch-up between the Westlife star and the former Sex Pistol and his minder, broke out at a late-night party when Rotten criticised the boyband's music.
Rotten, whose real name is John Lydon, who walked out of the show earlier in the week, and his minder John 'Rambo' Stevens, had been invited to the luxury penthouse of the five-star Palazzo Versace Hotel, on the Queensland Gold Coast, to join a small drinks party for the celebrities who have already been voted off and their friends and families. McFadden, who was waiting for his wife, Kerry, one of the four remaining celebrities left, to leave the jungle, was also present. As the champagne flowed, tongues loosened and the two musicians became decidedly heated as they talked about their different tastes in music.
Lydon, who quit the show last week, claiming he had enough of playing the game, became increasingly irritated with McFadden, who was arguing the people's taste in music had changed since the era of punk rock.' Rambo' who has looked after Johnny since his Sex Pistols hey day, then unexpectantly stepped in and launched himself ay Bryan, sending the Westlife singer falling backwards. When Bryn called out for help, Neil 'Razor' Ruddock, the former footballer who was voted off the show on Wednesday, intervened and pulled Rambo away.
A stunned Bryan McFadden explained how, at the beginning of the drinking session, he had thanked the former Sex Pistol for his kindness to Kerry during the jungle ordeal.
'He had supported Kerry all along when he was in the jungle and I liked the bloke. But he behaved like a spoilt little boy. He's living in the past and still thinks he's one of the Sex Pistols and that he can behave disgracefully in public.'He upset a lot of people at the party including Razor's wife and kids. The final straw was when he had Razor's little 11-year old girl in tears. Razor decided he had to go,' explained Bryan.
'We are all very, very upset and very embarrassed. Johnny has got too get over the idea that he is still one of the Sex Pistols. He behaved like a spoilt little brat. Razor was right to chuck him out. He really upset all of Razor's family.'
9th Feb.
RAGING Razor Ruddock threw John Lydon out of a party yesterday ;for swearing in front of his kids. The punk star's F-word rant about the show had reduced Razor's daughter Millie, 11, to tears. The party was thrown by Westlife star Bryan McFadden at the posh Versace Hotel on Australia's Gold Coast, an hour's drive from the jungle set where his wife Kerry is a favourite to win.
Last night an angry Bryan said: "John still thinks he's one of the Sex Pistols and can behave disgracefully in public. Razor was right to chuck him out."

Good news for Bryan Mcfadden!
Having lost his wedding ring in the surf of Australia ,the Dublin Jeweller who supplied it says he can provide an identical replacement.
"We can replace any ring, what we cant replace are the emotions and sentiments people attach to them" Said Joe Appleby, manager of Appleby Jewellers on Grafton street.
Panicked Westlife Star Mcfadden went out on Australian radio offering a 5000e award for the rings return, he also admitted that the platinum Diamond Band wasn't insured. Meanwhile his mum Mairead said "Kerry will Kill Bryan when she finds out about the ring, but she'll soon forget about it, She'll be so happy to see him she wont let something unimportant as a ring upset her for long"
This isn't the first time Bryans Ring has been in the headlines, Last year the singer was seen on TV without it, but explained that the ring has been under repair in a jewellers.

Ooops....
Bryan McFadden will be in trouble with wife Kerry when she leaves the jungle - he has lost his wedding ring while out surfing in Australia. The Westlife star has flown out to the I'm A Celebrity set in Queensland to surprise her.
But he is spending the day out on the beach with a metal detector after losing the pricey platinum and diamond ring.To make matters worse, the ring is not believed to be insured. Bryan has offered a £5,000 reward on a local radio station for its safe return. The ring went missing while he was out surfing with Lord Brocket's son Alex and Razor Ruddock's son Josh.
Bryan told ITV1's This Morning: "I went back to the hotel and went to bed for an hour, and when I woke up I looked at my hand and thought, 'Where's the ring?' I started looking around the room and then it clicked in my head - oh my God."He tracked down a paparazzo photographer who had snapped him surfing, and the pictures showed he was wearing the ring before he entered the water but not after.
Bryan said: "It's OK because the security over here have rented a metal detector. So we're going ring hunting. We were just saying what a glorious picture it will be for the paparazzi - me standing in my wellies with a fishing rod, fishing for a ring."
Kerry believes Bryan is back at home rehearsing with the band. But he has flown out to surprise her and will be there when she leaves the jungle. "She has no idea I'm here, she's going to be very shocked to see me," he said. The former Atomic Kitten has been upset at missing daughter Lilly Sue's first birthday. Bryan said she had also missed the little girl's first steps. "She walked three steps on her first birthday," he said. "We're not going to tell Kerry. We're just going to say she hasn't and then let Lilly do it in front of her."

Get Me Out Of Here!
Kerry has overtaken Lord Brocket and is odds-on to become the first Queen of the Jungle. Ladbrokes have slashed Kerry's odds from 2/1 to 4/5. Her chances were given a boost last night when John Lydon said she would make the most deserving winner. And Brocket may have blown his chance of winning by bitching about Jennie Bond. Ladbrokes spokesman Warren Lush said: "Punters are smitten with the former Atomic Kitten.
"While her former band mates have split and their stardom is fading, Kerry is on the up and is odds-on favourite to become the very first Queen of the Jungle. Viewers are attracted by the fact that she appears to be a normal, down-to-earth girl. Lord Brocket's fortunes have changed dramatically in the last 24 hours. He was hot favourite to win after John Lydon left but his odds drifted when he revealed his bitchiness and contempt for Jennie Bond. This could prove to be his downfall."
In a whispered conversation with Jordan, the fraudster branded former royal reporter Jennie an "old slag" who was "arrogant" and "dogmatic".
Mother-of-two Kerry, wife of Westlife star Bryan McFadden, has been tearful for much of her time in the jungle and yesterday was on the verge of quitting. But Lydon told the show's presenters, Ant and Dec, he hoped she would emerge the winner.
"I'd like her to do it for her kids. She's a tough little cookie underneath all that. I think it would be great for her - she deserves it. She's a real person," he said.
Glamour girl Jordan will have to do something special if she is to have any chance of winning, according to Ladbrokes. Mr Lush said: "John Lydon's departure has made it the most open I'm A Celebrity yet. "But Jordan is no longer a real runner and her odds have lengthened. She is going to have to do something very dramatic to get back into the game."

Kerry's mother-in-law promises no boobs
Kerry McFadden's mother-in-law says the former singer will definitely not be exposing her breasts in front of the I'm a Celebrity cameras. Mairead McFadden says the 23-year-old regularly pokes fun at herself about her body but would always draw the line at that. She added: "She always jokes about her boobs because everyone else brings them up in conversation but she will not go topless - no way.
"She was wearing a halterneck bikini top and Lord Brocket went to undo it and she said: "Don't do it again!" She's not like Jordan who's used to it," she told OK! Magazine. Kerry's husband, Brian McFadden, says the ex-Atomic Kitten singer is more self-conscious since having kids.
"When she was younger, like 17, Kerry was a lot more open and confident about her looks," he said.
"After having babies she's more shy. Of course I tell her she looks great, but women are women! I think a lot don't feel as good about their bodies after having babies."

Westlife star offers reward for lost ring
Bryan McFadden will be in trouble with wife Kerry when she leaves the jungle – he has lost his wedding ring while out surfing in Australia. The Westlife star has flown out to the I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! set in Queensland to surprise her. But he is spending today out on the beach with a metal detector after losing the pricey platinum and diamond ring.
To make matters worse, the ring is not believed to be insured. Desperate Bryan has offered a £5,000 reward on a local radio station for its safe return. The ring went missing while he was out surfing yesterday with Lord Brocket’s son Alex and Razor Ruddock’s son Josh. Bryan told ITV1's This Morning: “I went back to the hotel and went to bed for an hour, and when I woke up I looked at my hand and thought, ‘Where’s the ring?’
"I started looking around the room and then it clicked in my head – oh my God." He tracked down a paparazzo photographer who had snapped him surfing, and the pictures showed he was wearing the ring before he entered the water but not after. Bryan said: "It's OK because the security over here have rented a metal detector. So we’re going ring hunting.
"We were just saying what a glorious picture it will be for the paparazzi – me standing in my wellies with a fishing rod, fishing for a ring." Kerry believes Bryan is back at home rehearsing with the band. But he has flown out to surprise her and will be there when she leaves the jungle.
"She has no idea I’m here, she’s going to be very shocked to see me," he said.
The former Atomic Kitten has been upset at missing daughter Lilly Sue’s first birthday. Bryan said she had also missed the little girl's first steps.
"She walked three steps on her first birthday," he said. "We're not going to tell Kerry. We’re just going to say she hasn’t and then let Lilly do it in front of her." Kerry is now the bookies’ favourite to be crowned Queen of the Jungle.

Westlife star races to comfort wife as Jordan's lover gets set to tackle Andre By John Dingwall
WEST LIFE hunk Bryan McFadden was heading for Australia last night after wife Kerry had a mini-breakdown. But while Kerry cracked up after missing daughter Lilly Sue's first birthday, camp mates Jordan and Peter Andre inched closer to a steamy romp. And the model's angry boyfriend, Scott Sullivan, is now on his way to Australia to confront Andre.
Irish singer Bryan stunned record label BMG by walking out on promotional duties to fly off to comfort Kerry. Speaking exclusively to the Record, he revealed ITV producers refused his request for a live satellite link-up so that Kerry could wish her little girl ''Happy Birthday''. McFadden said: ''Thankfully, Kerry knew nothing about it 'I'm flying out tonight. I want to be there when Kerry gets evicted. I think it's important that I'm there after all that she's been through.
''It's Lilly's birthday today. She'll be staying with my Mam while I'm in Australia.' 'He added: ''It'll take me two days to get there. I just have to be there when she is evicted.''Earlier yesterday, Kerry wept in front of the other contestants as she thought about Lilly Sue's big day. She told Lord Brocket: ''I just want to phone and wish her Happy Birthday.''
Although the randy peer tried to console her, he put his foot right in it by saying: ''She wouldn't understand.' 'Kerry, 23, said: ''Mothers do though. ''She does understand, she gurgles, she can say 'Mam ma' and 'Dadda'.''But she perked up when the stars sang Happy Birthday for Lilly Sue. John Lydon balanced a candle on his head and said: ''I've got something rotten for your birthday.''

Newly wed, with millions in the bank and a circle of rock-star friends, Shane and Gillian Filan have it all- except somewhere suitably dreamy to live out their perfect lives. The beautiful couple jetted back from their honeymoon in the Maldives to discover the red tape has further delayed their move into their plush E2m Co.Sligo mansion. The Diary has learned that a row with the local council over planning permission means they will not be taking up residence in their stately pile for at least five months. Six years after they first applied for permission. the 10,000sq.ft house in Carraroe has been held up by delays- including a spat with the local planners over a self-contained flat in the attic that did not have proper authorisation.
The latest setback was caused when Shane and Gillian took a last-minute decision to add a massive extension to include an indoor swimming pool, fitness centre and a garage for 10 cars. The whole project was originally due to be finished in time for the couple's return this week but the sheer size of the palatial dwelling, which features eight bedrooms and a spiral staircase, has knocked the project off track. The childhood sweethearts, who tied the knot in Ballintubber Abbey on the 28 of December, followed by a lavish reception in Ashford Castle, first applied for permission for a much smaller house on the site owned by Shane's father in 1998.
In April 2000, plans for a larger house were submitted to Sligo Co. Council but, two months later, planners contacted the Filans after they failed to submit accurate details of an apartment they had planned to build in the attic of the two-storey house. The couple had neglected to mention the flat in the public notices, with their Sligo based architect, Eugene O'Neill, insisting that there was no need, since the apartment was an integral part of the family home. Finally, in October, they backed down and agreed to resubmit more detailed plans and publish alternative notices. Two months later, permission was granted but it was not until July the following year that the local contractors commenced work on the house.
In May last year, the couple applied for permission to build another extension. It was approved in August but work has yet to start.
"There have been a few hurdles to overcome but a house that big could easily take more than two years to build. It's been built to a high standard, and it will take that little bit longer to complete. No doubt that when the Filans move in later this tear, they will agree it was worth waiting for,' said a local builder. Considering it will feature a music room with a grand piano and a dining room seating up to 18, it will definitely be worth the wait. But Mr and Mrs Filan's fate could have been much worse- at least their canny purchase of a E500,000 pad 200 yards away from the new mansion means they don't have to start married live with the in-laws.

Keith Duffy and his fellow cast members from Coronation Street teamed up with a couple of the Westlife lads over the weekend to take on the might of SKY ONE's Dream Team and all in the name of charity...
Each year Keith Duffy's Allstars V's The Dream Team football match for Childline just gets better with more and more celebrities on the pitch and in the stands of Tolka Park.
This year saw two of Keith's regulars from Westlife Bryan McFadden and Nicky Byrne kitting out once again and both bagging a goal each in their 5-4 defeat by the Dream Team.
But thankfully this year Nicky managed to keep his temper under wraps and all enjoyed an after match drink in the stadium's bar.
Keith's Corrie pals also came out in force and anyone out and about in Dublin over the weekend could see that they enjoy their partying just as much as their football.
Keith's team included: Nicky Byrne, Bryan McFadden, Brendan O'Carroll, Tony Fenton, Joe Elloitt, Ray Shah, Chris Bisson, Mr Pussy and the Coronation Street cast.
Actresses Jo Goldie, Rachel Brady, Sheryl Mackie and many more watched from the bleachers.

Backstage gossip from Popworld
Molly's the star of the Westlife show.
The 'Life arrive and first through the door is Nicky, followed by Shane and then Bryan, who has brought daughter Molly with him. Lily Sue is with Kerry's mum while she's busy stressing out in the jungle. Kian and Mark arrive a wee bit later because they've been stuck in traffic but when they do it's soon chaos in the green room as all the boys take turns playing games with Molly. Bryan even dangles her over the bin, which she finds most amusing. Molly soon discovers that the green room is well stocked with plenty of treats for the pop stars, including sweets. She's very quickly demanding daddy's help so she can get hold of the M&Ms.
It's Mark's turn to babysit when Bryan gets a call on his mobile. It's Bry's mum and the pair are soon gassing about how Kerry's doing in I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here! Bryan reckons she's doing really well, especially with all the creepy crawlies around. "I wouldn't mind dem bugs," he says. "But if I saw one of dem jungle rats Oi'd be s***ting meself." Really Bryan, that's your mother you're talking to! On set and in-between rehearsals of new single 'Obvious' the lads practise their vocal harmonies. They start warbling away and they only stop when Bryan points out, "This is all a bit useless - we're miming." They're also all in deep conversation about property and buying houses. Lads, come on, you're in a band, stop sounding so old.
While they're performing, Molly starts crying and tries to get onto the stage to see daddy Bryan. She's being held back by Dave, the 'Life's beefy bodyguard, and this make her cry even more. Bryan look visibly upset but we're halfway through a take and Bry's the consummate professional. The band continue with the song but when camera isn't on one of the guys they each take it in turns to pull faces at Molly to try and cheer her up. It doesn't work. Even before the song is over Bryan is off the stage and Molly is in his arms. "Did we do a rubbish performance, Molly?" Asks Nicky. Molly cries even more. "That'll be a yes then!" Bodyguard Dave puts Molly in her buggy and takes her for a walk. The boys solider on and eventually finish recording. It's time to go and Molly is bought back, now fast asleep. Bryan pushes the buggy to their car, which is waiting outside. As Westlife leave the studio a handful of fans have gathered to wave and say hello. Even though the guys are on a tight schedule they still spend a few moments signing autographs and posing for pics. What guys!

Top boy band announce Powderham date
The Express & Echo can exclusively reveal that superstar boy band Westlife will play Powderham Castle this summer - their only Westcountry date this year. The Irish singing group, who have clocked up 12 number one UK hits, are set to perform in the castle grounds on Monday, August 2. Up to 20,000 fans are expected to see the pop heartthrobs in action and one of the band's singers, Kian Egan, is eager to let them know they are in for a special night.
Speaking to the Echo, Kian said: "We are really excited about this show. It is such a great location. We can't wait to come down to Devon and perform at such a prestigious site.
"We promise to put on a concert to remember. We are really looking forward to seeing you all."
Estate Manager Tim Faulkner said the announcement confirmed Powderham was now firmly established as a major UK venue. And the castle has another great reason to celebrate as it has just scooped the prestigious Venue of the Year Award at the Event Industry Awards in London.
Speaking about the Westlife coup Mr Faulkner said: "This is beyond my wildest dreams. It's going to be a great occasion in a special environment.
"Westlife are gilt edged. A lot of these younger bands have not been around that long but Westlife have built up an amazing following in the last few years. They started as a boy band but they now appeal to all ages not just youngsters.
"And they have some fabulous songs."
Westlife, who were originally known as Westside and managed by Ronan Keating, have been chart toppers for many years. The quintet's debut single Swear It Again was an Irish and UK chart-topper. Since then the hits have never stopped coming and include Flying Without Wings, Fool Again, and World Of Our Own as well as last year's Mandy, which debuted in the top slot. The boys were the country's top-selling live act last year and have notched up 30 million record sales.
They are the latest big name set to play Powderham and their date follows on from the spectacular success of last year's concerts by Blue and rock legend Elton John. And more big names are planned according to Mr Faulkner.
"The whole things is snowballing at Powderham," he said. "A lot of major bands have heard of the venue now and look keen to play here. We are going to build on this and we have more surprises to follow. We are hoping to announce at least one or two more big acts to complete the line-up for this year."
Pop-rock trio Busted are already lined up to appear at the venue on Sunday, July 18, while Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra play at the castle on Saturday, July 31. And it has just been announced that the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra with guest star soloists will perform a version of Les Miserables on Sunday, August 1. Tickets for the Westlife concert are priced £26.50, plus booking fee, and go on sale on Monday morning at 9am from Plymouth Pavilions Box Office. Fans should telephone 08700-722169 or book online via: www.plymouthpavilions.com Gates open at 2pm, the show starts at 5pm and Westlife will be on stage at 8pm.
