AECC ABERDEEN 11th April 2007

Official Site cap, carefully edited version!
Well, Aberdeen is an experience! I think someone said 'cosy and
intimate' - I thought more 'aircraft hanger' combined school assembly hall!
Now that's not to say I didn't have a FANTASTIC TIME - you Scots can't half roar
your appreciation!!! I'm spoiled with a local arena, Manchester - that
holds 16,000 but I have to hold my hands up and say that that wee arena's roof
almost blew off from the appreciative crowd!! Well done you noisy lot!
I did think when I saw my seat that was well past the stage end, that I was in
for a disappointment, but thankfully not ....and they say 'they save the
best till last' I'm still agog, how can an 80 minute set seem to last hours? I
still don't know but that performance went on forever in my head - but it will
have to last me at least till next years tour!
You know how I like to take some snaps....(understatement of the century!) I've
over 400 hundred photographs and scorch marks on the palms of hands from
swapping batteries LOL
Lads were in top form - probably keen to get back on home soil, bless them -
they are all in Ireland now on their final leg. This time though, when Shane
said 'we always get a great welcome in Scotland' I felt it came from the
heart...even if a fair few of us Sassenachs slipped over on a border raid! LOL
I want to extend more than a thank you to the lads for a great show that still
threw up a million surprises, much to my amazement after 5 shows, but the
biggest thank you goes to the hospitable aberdonians (whatever the correct term
is ) I'll be chalking the AECC as a new date to go to again, they were all so
lovely and helpful, and above all a complete craic....a bit like the lads eh!
pictures coming soon *fans self* I think there's some scorchers!! (a bit like
the temperatures in that arena......)
