FAN MEET
Edinburgh Turnaround Signing - 23rd November 2003
CLAIRE
On Sunday the 23rd of November 2003 me, my mum and one of my best friends all made our way to Ocean Terminal Shopping Centre in Edinburgh & at 5pm we arrived. We saw about 50 people in the queue so we laid out our stuff knowing it would be a long, cold night as Westlife were showing up at 9.30 the next morning.
An hour later the security people let us in YAAAAY!!! It was so warm in the shopping centre and we got to wander about and even go to the cinema! HOW NICE WERE THOSE PEOPLE!!! *thankyoooo* Anyhooz we ‘tried’ to sleep and socialised (big word oooo) with other Westlife luuurvers!! It was soo much fun, ONE GIANT SLEEPOVER!! Woooo. Anyways the night went sooo slow!
At 6am we had to move to let the people outside in to join us. Then at 7.45 HMV opened and let us in to buy the ALBUM wooot wooot TURNAROUND!!! Then we went into ANOTHER queue and this dude told us not to run lmao but walk!! Hehe! I couldn’t breathe, I had to sit down! Lol. Anyways we waited and waited and they played the album about 4 times pmsl! And finally one and a half hours later they showed up *DIES* lol Mark wearing that HAT! And sunglasses, couldn’t even see him *damn* Anyways I was right at the front of the barrier thing so I held up my Mark banner and he gave me the thumbs up *DIES AGAIN* then they spoke for a bit and explained Shaneys absence!
Then the queue started moving, I got SOOOOOO excited!! And I was jumping up and down coz I was bursting ( hence the nervousness lmao ) and finally my time came!! ARRRRGH!! I went up on the wee stage thingy and met Kian first! He said thanks for buying the album …. Then onto Mr McFadden, he was kinda dozey lmao cute tho, then the nixter!! He looked soooo nice and he was the only lifer not wearing a hat! They also said thanks for buying the album and waiting etc…..then onto MY MAN! MR MARK FEEHILY….phwoar I was sooo nervous! It was my first time meeting him and I was star struck, didn’t know what to say, do or anything! I gave him a letter I wrote him and he said thanks very much and smiled coz I had designed ‘To Marky’ really cool! Lol and then he said thanks for buying the album – my mum asked if I could get my pic taken wiv him but big bully Dave said no time grrrrrrr I’ll kick his ass next time LoL!
Well he signed the album and a bit of paper that says To Claire, *marks signature* YAY!!! He knows my name LOL! Anyways once I was dragged away from that fine figure of a man, I started crying lol I said to myself I wouldn’t cry infront of him – and I never lol just after! Made my way up to the balcony and started shouting on him and had me wee banner up again, I blew him a kiss when he looked up and he smiled and waved! I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!!! And that was the best day of my LIFE!!!
