FAN GREET SOMEWHERE IN WARWICK

BEX

Day 1

Ok, so for those of you who have already read the dames reports you know that Hilda, Evadne & myself along with Suzie had agreed to meet up for a girls weekend.

Well Evadne finally arrived at mine on the Friday night and a journey that should have taken her just over 4 hours ended up being 7 1/2 .

Any way I obviously gave her 5 mins to rest before my hubby dragged us kicking and screaming to the pub. Quite a few voddie & red bulls and a curry later we finally got to bed.

Woke up next morning & phoned Hilda to see what time she was setting off – really had to move our arses then because she had already left and myself & Evadne nursing slight hangovers had not even considered getting dressed!!!

Arrived at hotel and after dumping our bags (ok so the dames had to carry mine) headed towards the bar – medicinal purposes only I hasten to add.

A couple of bottles of champagne later (thanks to Marlene – wonderful barmaid) and I was ready to head to sports bar to watch the FA cup final and yes I am a Man Utd fan, lol. At this point I was joined in the corridor by a lovely man called Alan who worked at the hotel and although the dames had gone full sprint he walked slowly with me enquiring as to what I had done to myself.

Any way on reaching our table he informed us that a certain group were staying at our hotel and that he was going to ask if they could come to our room to see me as he thought it was wonderful that I had still made the effort for the weekend. Unfortunately, later that day our hotel room number changed so we could all be together instead of opposite sides of the hotel – so if the lads did drop in I hope whoever had our old room was more than happy!

As you are probably aware Man Utd won the cup but due to 4 more bottles of champagne the scorers have now slipped my mind, in fact if anyone could tell me the score I would be more than grateful as dare not ask hubby cause told him I stuck to coke.

During the course of the afternoon or was it now early evening I was taken for many trips in my portable chair – the dames thought it would be easier if they could push me around – that would have been fine if my legs were not slammed into railings, walls, lifts and just about any other unmoveable object.

On one such jaunt of ours we ended up back in reception and who should come in but the wonderful Jodi Albert who laughed, joked, hugged, kissed and was bloody fantastic to us all. That is one special girl and also very beautiful with it and I cannot sing her praises enough – any fans that give her a hard time should hang their heads in shame.

Then it was back to the bar and who did I see but Jake, well I wasn’t going to wait to be slammed into another wall so I insisted on getting up outta my chair which made Dame Hilda dive for my trainers – so shoeless I shuffled to the bar to say hello to the lovely tour manager who was his usually gentlemanly self!!!

We had actually arranged to meet up with an old friend of ours called Jake later that evening but for some reason I never saw him but there was a message on my answer phone but unfortunately I think I must have had a bad signal because I couldn’t make out what he was saying or perhaps it was the champers – so Jake sorry – we will  meet up sometime soon.

Evadne had arranged for us to have dinner in the hotel but due to alcoholic time keeping we missed our table so we decided to go to reception to see what we could do. When we got there I told Evadne I wanted a ciggie so she insisted that I stayed in my chair and kindly pushed me outside.

The next 20 minutes I must say were fantastic – Tony was sat outside & had a quick word then Shane & the beautiful Gillian Filan came out. Well they both agreed to have pictures with myself and Evadne and I must say as I wanted to get up and no-one was letting me that Shane agreed to cover my chair – Sorry girls but Shane asking me if I want him to go any lower was music to my ears – Gillian was a star as well by trying to match his height in her very ladylike strappy sandals. When the picture had been taken Shane noticed I had no shoes but a pair of hotel slippers and make a joke about them so I asked Gillian if she wanted to swap & she did admit they would be more comfortable than her shoes. They were both complete darlings to us and then they got on the minibus. So that was my meeting with Shane – not quiet because then the wonderful Mr. Oliver Feehily came over and gave me a hug & had some pics taken – I do believe he must have been in the bar as long as us!!! Well whilst he was talking to us Shane was making “get in there” jestures at him & unfortunately for him I saw him doing it and by god did he look like a naughty schoolboy with his cap pulled down & rosy blushing cheeks all to the amusement of Gillian and myself.

Just before they got on the bus I had said that Mrs. Filan was there and Gillian actually mimed behind her that it was in fact Kian's mum so sorry for that but thank you Gillian for sparing my blushes.

Finally Jodi & Kian appeared and as they were running late they did inform us that they didn’t have time for any pictures or anything but Jodi said something to Kian who then came running over to have his picture with me and boy did he smell good, so once again thank you Jodi.

Then we went to our room & unfortunately I did get ready for the nightclub but whilst waiting for the others fell asleep & so I am told there was no waking me.
