BEX

Mid June 2004 - day 2

Upon Dame Evadne joining me once she was up we decided to head into the town to do some retail therapy – strange for a Sunday morning but being a bit fragile we couldn’t do anything too drastic.

On walking towards the back of our hotel we noticed several lorries which have been moving a certain stage set around the country & also quite a few girls walking up and down obviously looking for a bit of irish. (They have obviously never seen them out drinking or else they would know that there was no way they would be up at that time lololol)

When we reached the shopping arcade we decided to get a drink – unfortunately milk shake does not settle a vodka pumped stomach but to be honest I don’t think anything would have.I decided to splash out on a new outfit for the football – see although I would love to be have the Irish blood in me, I am proud to be English at the same time.I bought a little red England top with a matching little red skirt (hubby informed me when I got home that he hoped in all hell I hadn’t worn that belt!!!) Men they have no sense of fashion!!! We returned to our hotel a little later – me now sporting a pair of cut off ripped to shreds jeans & yes hubby hates them too.

We decided to get a drink in the lounge whilst we waited to hear from Yvette who was coming into town to join us – well coke still didn’t make me feel human so I nipped to the bar & got a voddie put in it – strangely 10 mins later & I felt ok.

Yvette texted to say she had arrived at the Brighton centre so I nipped out to fetch her along with her daughter Klarissa. It was great to finally meet up with her as we have spoken for a long time but unfortunately not got together before this weekend. Well with someone else in tow who drinks vodka there was only one thing for it – lets get plastered again. Obviously at a very slow rate & really we only had a couple (oops nearly choked on my coffee then).

We had a real good afternoon which was great fun and then we decided to head towards the train station but stopping at a couple of pubs on the way – this backfired on us as due to Klarissa’s age most places wouldn’t let us in. By now it was nearly time for Yvette to leave so we arranged to meet up on the Monday a couple of hours before the concert as she had a wonderful present for the guys & we had to make sure they got it.

Must step back a bit here to say whilst we were sat in hotel a certain “Nanna Moon” walked by – I went to get her autograph for Klarissa but I must say I thought she was very rude but she did sign it.

After Yvette had left us we made our way back towards the hotel but we spotted a certain bus (tee hee). I think it would have been rude not to go and say hello so that is exactly what we did – Tony was there and was his usual darling self – that guy is so laid back & nice – real gentleman – however, he did notice the alcoholic fumes coming off us as he did make a comment. I also noticed someone who I thought was a friend but who was doing her best to ignore me so I ran & gave her a big hug – she was mortified because her friend no longer speaks to me & she was with her for the weekend. I will not name her but I will say this to anyone “If you cant speak to me regardless of who you are with then don’t speak to me ever cause I wont play your childish games”.

Right now I have got that off my chest I will continue – we made our way back to our hotel after I had written on the bus window (Ozzie & Snoops appreciation society) see I can be childish too but in a funny way not bitchy.

Arrived back at our room and got ready to go watch our lads kick the French’s backsides at football. Well we hit two pubs and the atmosphere was crap so we headed back to the hotel to watch it – trust it to be a non smoking room. When it was over we decided to nip round the back to see if the tour bus had gone so I thought I would be kind & get Mark a double vodka & coke to drink on the way back to their hotel.

Picture this – football has finished – fighting in the streets – police everywhere & me & Evadne running through them with me clutching glass of voddie. Was so excited when realised bus was still there that I nearly drank the drink but stopped myself in time. There were a couple of girls outside plus Trev the bus driver who kindly said he would give Mark the drink (not before I had taken a big discreet gulp out of it though)

We were then informed that the show was running late as the lads had insisted on watching football first.

Soon the barriers were pulled round and first out was Kian who walked straight on the bus and threw himself on the leather settee, next came Nicky who walked straight on the bus and then Mark who did exactly the same (plus he walked past his drink which had been put by the kettle). Finally Shane came out & walked straight over to the crowd to sign as much as possible for people. Dame Evadne got her pic of them together signed & so I thought I might as well get something signed but alas I had nothing on me so he signed my hand laughing as he did it because it was bright red permanent marker pen but hey he had to hold my hand whilst he did it, I also thanked him for the Belfry & he asked if we were ok – sweet guy – still not as nice as his wife though.

On returning to our hotel I spoke to 2 girls who had been sat there all day & yes they were Westlife fans – they took photos of my hand & we were then told how to get to the lads hotels so that is indeed what we did. It was very quiet outside but I did walk straight past and clock Mark sat at the bar – now doesn’t that make a change lmao!!! Would have tried to join him but the gates were shut so walked back past to find all waiters waving at me.

Hit the pizza parlour – stuffed my little face & crawled into bed – happily smiling to myself that just lately all I seem to get is Shane or so I thought!!!!
