NICKY QUOTES

how long did you spend getting ready today?

Just 10 minutes. I had a shower then got dressed. If I've had a bath the night before, then I skip the shower and just throw on some clothes.

What's the girliest thing about you?
Probably my genital area! (Laughs.) No, it would have to be my hair cos it's quite long at the moment. I don't think it's girlie even if most people would.

Was it a bad hair day or a good hair day?
About 50 percent either way. It was one of those days where one minute I'd look in the mirror and think: "My hair looks good" then I'd take a second look and think "No it doesn’t."

"What about my hair at the beginning? Now that was stupid!"

BEAUTY QUOTES

"I think we are all getting pretty used to being in the public eye and having our pictures taken all the time, now. But we really haven't become vain. I honestly don't spend ages getting ready to go out and it's not like I use anything special on my face. I'm terrified that some day a huge spot will break out on my face and make up for all these years of clear skin!" - Mark

What was it like when you first had make-up put on for a photoshoot?  -L+K magazine 1999
(The lads look a tad embarrassed.)
Mark:
Can I say, we don't wear girlie make-up.
Shane: It felt weird - I was dead paranoid about it.  I thought 'Is everyone staring at me, is it obvious?'
Kian: I think we all felt a bit girlie but then you realise how much better the right make-up can make you look in pictures.  When you've been partying the night before you're grateful for a bit of concealer!

Would you ever consider having cosmetic surgery?
Shane: Never, unless I had a serious accident and was totally disfigured.
Nicky: These days I look in a mirror and think I'd like to change various things, but I agree with Shane.
Bryan: If I was going to change things I'd sort out my chins - I only need one!

Would you ever have plastic surgery? -NOTW magazine, 25th July 1999
Nicky: I wouldn't rule out a bit of liposuction.
Bryan: For who, me or you?
Nicky: I think if I was going into a movie then I'd get the fat removed from under my chin. I'd be shitting myself if I had it done though.
Bryan: Would you get one of those acid wraps? Because you can never grow stubble back if you have one of those under your chin.
Nicky: Stop it, you're scaring me! "

Would you ever have plastic surgery?
Shane: Only if I had been in an accident and it deformed my face.
Bryan: So when are you getting it sorted?"  (December 2003)

Do you ever check your reflection from behind in the mirror? - TOTP's magazine November 2000
Mark: No, I'm not very self-conscious. I probably should be as I'm in the public eye. Sometimes I don't even think about shaving so I'll end up slitting my face shaving in a hurry before I do a shoot or TV.

How would you feel if a big spot appeared on your forehead?
Mark: I hardly ever get spots so I don't worry much about them. I just wash my face with water every morning. But I do panic now and then that the spots will get their own back one day. Heh-heh.
